Not bad

Well, I give yesterday and today a 7/10, I reckon. Successfully resisted further peices of cake - even being left in a room with a plate full of icing for about 10 minutes - and I didn't crack. Woo me!

Only minor blip was having two Petit Filous (es) in the evening, which I really didn't need - and I certainly didn't need 2. Not sure why I cracked really, but it won't happen again.

Today has been fine so far. Had my porridge this morning as per usual - and didn't snack on any of E's food (except for the odd "cleaning the spoon" moments) - which considering she left half of it was a minor triumph.

There are no cakes or any such devilish goodies at work today, so no need to worry there -but I did have my toasted sarnie a tad early (11:30am) - which could bring on afternoon hunger a bit earlier, but doing fine so far. Am also prepared to stand tough in the face of any "lunch-time invitations". Should be easy now that I'm prepared.

More tomorroz. Aiiiight.

Ok, I'm back

...which will be news to pretty much no-one, unless anyone still has their RSS feed still monitoring this blog - in which case welcome back!

So - I'm kinda fed up with being a bit chunkier than I would like, so I'm taking steps to rectify it. The exercise element of said plan is all in place: I cycle to work - play football once or twice a week and with an impending 10 mile run coming up in October, I'm currently running 3 times a week in my lunch break. It's just the eating that needs sorting out.

This morning wasn't too bad. Had porridge avec sliced banana and some golden syrup (no more than a teaspoon). Avoided nibbling on E's breakfast much which was a triumph of sorts, seeing as she didn't finish her Brioche, and that is imminently nibbleable. Oh yes, it's a word.

Got to work, feeling pretty jolly please with myself. The cycle in was pleasant, with the warm summer sun on me - and my new bike is an awesome ride - so that was good. Avoided a coffee as it's too hot - but had a sugar-free RedBull, and since then, just on squash. Hurrah.

But, there is cake in the office today (for one of my colleague's daughter's naming ceremony). Half considered resisting completely - but then remembered that I said to B that I'd allow myself to have 1 slice of something (BUT NO MORE) - so did that. Am now currently trying to avoid going anywhere near the kitchen, since I know there is plenty more cake left - and I've had my slice now. And I want some more dammit. Oh how I want some more. Suspect I'll be ok though.

Going running at lunch (28 degrees out there, nice), and football tonight - hence plenty of water today. Should help.
