Afternoon temptations

Morning was all good. Lunch was fine.

This afternoon is a bit challenging, truth be told. The Ice Cream man commeth, but that is no problem - but watching some colleagues eat their delicious smelling sandwiches and KFC was quite hard, and if it wasn't for this blog, I may well have snapped, and gone and got myself a sarnie too.

Also, we have some genuinely Turkish "Turkish delight" (pictured) which is looking very tasty indeed. I even started playing the "it's just a little piece, and you really should find out what it tastes like so that you'll know" game - y'know, the one you play when you want to talk yourself into something that you know you shouldn't.

Anyway - it hasn't worked - and hopefully there'll be some more meetings later to remove me from danger.

You know, in my experience, Turkish "delight" isn't all that it's cracked up to be, so don't feel deprived by not having any :)

I kinda suspect it will be foul too, but it's like the cosmetics shop "Lush" everything in there looks so tasty and edible that I'm almost salivating when I'm in there (inevitably with B).

I am, however, feeling mega hungry now!

I have to say that Turkish Delight is awful. A memory of Christmasses past - shudder!!. A close relative of yours loves the stuff though.
Talking about changing your lifestyle - I recently have been trying to cut down on tea and coffee, realizing that I was just drinking out of habit. Our office has a cooled water dispenser and I forced myself to alternate between a cup of water and a cup of tea. I actually find the water very thirst quenching and it has really helped breaking the tea habit at work. I tried squash but it was not as good. Could be the colouring or additives? Maybe you could suggest having a cooled water dispenser at work? Just an idea.

Why not come to Chad to stop snacking? There is nothing remotely appetising here ;)
